Carlton Ware Round Porcelain Jar with Lid

While the actual color might be blood red, there is a reflective quality to this bowl that it might also be described as candy apple red or by its given name, Rouge Royale. Gold painted around the rim, around the lid and around the base. This was made in England. It's called Carlton Ware. On the bottom is written Carlton, Made in England. Would guess late 1950s, early 1960s. Rounded in shape. Excellent vintage condition. Inside appears to be porcelain in color and texture. Stands about 5 inches tall and about 4.5 inches across. The pictures on this piece really don't do it justice. Because it's highly reflective, it is difficult to photograph. This Carlton Ware piece weighs 15 ounces.
