This was a popular print. I remember a smaller size print in my parents home. This piece is titled "Old Ironsides" and has a copyright mark in the lower right corner with the letters GOES. This work is attributed to the artist Gordon Grant and was believed to be completed in the late 1920s. This is what I would term a "rescue" print. The frame has been repainted gold. The glass cover and paper backing have both been replaced as has the hanging wire. This piece is ready to display. The size with the frame is 23 inches tall and 17.5 inches wide. The inside frame measurement is 15.5 wide and 21 inches tall. This is a great piece for a lodge or formal decor, for the collector of military/naval history. This is a print one may well have found in parents, grandparents or even great-grandparents walls. Weight is 3 pounds, 7 ounces.
