Hand Made Modern Art Icon Done in Greece, the Last Supper Traditional Byzantine Manner

Painted with egg, tempera and gold on canvas and old wood. This is a modern piece made in Meteora, Greece. Depicts da Vinci's The Last Supper, brilliant dark blues and reds with gold trim and shiny gold halos. The wooden block is about 9 inches wide, 7 inches tall and about 1 inch think. There is a small attached strap on the back for hanging. With a very good magnifying glass one can see writing and/or numbers in the lower left and right of the work. There is a certificate on the back, in four different languages, stating how this piece was made and that it is permitted to export. There is also a light but distinct two-headed eagle stamp on the certificate. Weight of this object is 14 ounces.
