Wall pockets were very popular in the 1940 and 1950 eras and are considered collectibles today. Used originally for fresh flowers, dried flowers, matches, potpourri, or just a handy place to put something, wall pockets take many shapes. Two of the most popular designs are fruits and vegetables. This pair is an example of figural wall pockets, rather fruit or vegetables. These have been used but are in good vintage condition. The maker of broom is unknown but the maker of the dustpan is Inarco. The broom is 8 inches long and about 5.5 inches wide. The dustpan is about 6.5 inches long and 5.5 inches wide.
