Nippon Porcelain Hand Painted Moramuri Brothers Floral and Gilt Bead Octagonal Vase
There are gold inlay flowers and beads from the top to the bottom of this 12 inch vase, which was made some time between 1911 and 1921. It has mark #47 on the bottom, which is the green "hand painted Nippon" with the signature Moramuri M in the wreath (see picture 2). The four main sides have stunning hand painted floral designs, each one encircled by the gold inlay flowers and beads. The four smaller "sides" are all the same, gold inlay flowers with beads running all the way from top to bottom. This could be a piece that is over 100 years old and there is some wear on the gold paint at the bottom rim and top rim. There no cracks or chips at all, but there is a little dirt on the inside bottom corners. With the combination of its height, shape and art work, this is a rare piece, unusual to find.
