Chinese Mud Man Yoke Bearer
Six inch high mud man. Yoke bearer, carrying coin (symbol of wealth & long life) and peach. Stamped CHINA on bottom. Old man, no glaze on skin, holes for eyes, nostrils, ears. Some crazing. Very good vintage condition. Coin may have been glued or it may just have a crack on the surface, difficult to see without looking closely. Great condition for a mud man, which are hard to find in this good of condition. Date it was made is a guess, could be 10-30 years older. Mud men were made to be adornments for plants, fish tanks, etc.. Has a base 2 inches around. This mud man weighs 12 ounces.
