The First Family. Comedy Album. Vaughn Meader. (1962)

Sorry, this item has sold.

The First Family album, featuring comedian Vaughn Meader as the voice of John F. Kennedy, won the Grammy award for Album of the Year in 1963, selling more than 7 million copies. A light-hearted look at the Kennedy clan, this album from Cadence Records, was the fastest and highest selling recording of its day. President Kennedy was said to give copies to friends as Christmas gifts. A sequel was made, but JFK's assassination in late 1963 put an end to the efforts. This copy is in excellent condition, has a sleeve, album cover has no tears or writing. Disc looks clean and lightly played, if at all. LP 33 1/3 speed. Cadence CLP 3060. Album measures 12 inches by 12 inches and weighs 9 ounces.
