Vintage Birth of Venus Resin Sculpture Signed Santini
Vintage "Birth of Venus" resin sculpture. Excellent condition. No sign of damage or repair. Evocative of Sandro Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" painting. This piece is rare because: a) the shell she is standing in is vertical and comes up above her knees; b) the base is sculpted to look like waves, not just a plain rounded or square base. Bottom center is the Santini signature. Italian. Measures about 3.5 inches at its widest. Weighs 1 pound, 10 ounces. Stands over 12 inches high.
