Folding Vintage Wooden Tiled Chess Set with Faux Jade Green & Red Pieces

This is an interesting set. Made to travel. Two drawers with ribbed red fabric and elastic bands hold faux jade green or dark red playing pieces. Board has metal handles. Pieces are based on Oriental themes. All pieces are present in the set. All pieces are in excellent condition. The elastic bands are in good to excellent condition. The game board is colored white tiles depicting Oriental themes. All pawns have individual designs. This set is in very good to excellent condition, but the wooden box has some condition issues: wood has chipped veneer in places and one corner is badly scuffed. Edge of board is decorated in Oriental themes, including dragons. For the collector of chess sets or the chess enthusiast. This set measures 19 inches square when open and is 2.5 inches deep. Pawns measure 2 inches high. King is 3.5 inches high; Queen is 3.25 inches high. Remaining pieces are each about 2.5 inches high. This chess set weighs 7 pounds, 6 ounces.
