Teach-a-Toy Plastic Puzzle Inlaid Map of the United States

Made by the Hassenfeld Brothers (Hasbro), in the early 1950 decade. This is a plastic inlaid map of the United States before Alaska and Hawaii were states. The fact that this was made of plastic must have been a selling point. All the states are in the box. The puzzle is intact. States have small plastic tags for state capital names and for principal products. Not every state has a plastic capital tab, but most of them are included. The principal products tabs are blank and can be filled out with the information under the top lid. Extra plastic tags are included for this purpose. Under the box lid are facts about the states: products, populations, area in square miles and date admitted to the union. Population data is based on the 1950 census. Images and design on the box are good. Taping of the corners has been done and there are scuff marks and signs of wear on the the box. Made in the USA by Hassenfeld Brothers, Central Falls, Rhode Island. This box measures 19 inches long, 12 inches wide and about 2 inches deep. This educational toy is about 65 years old, having all the plastic states and most of the little plastic tags is unusual for its age.
