The late artist Robin Anderson, who was born in Kenya in 1924, was one her country's premier women artists of the 20th century. Known for her batik on silk screen art of African tribal life, she was one of the co-founders of the Watatu Gallery in Nairobi in the late 1960s. This large print of Massai warriors is framed and measures 40 inches tall by 34 inches wide, including the frame, which is a thin, light-colored notched wood. Signed by the artist and numbered 86/200, is in very good to excellent condition, no rips, stains or other damage but a light ruffling of the cloth can be seen especially toward the top of the piece.This piece weighs 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
